Everlasting Kings Park Festival returns this spring, with a whirlwind of wildflowers now in bloom

Buzzing bees, chirping birds and blooming fields of pink, yellow and white everlasting wildflowers means two things — spring has sprung in WA, and the annual Everlasting Kings Park Festival has returned. Almost 300,000 people are expected to visit Kings Park over the two-week festival, where they will participate in guided walks, workshops and family activities among WA’s renowned native wildflowers. Kristen Wood hasn’t attended the festival before, but she was keen to get a sneak peek of the event with her five-year-old son Everett. The pair took advantage of some early September sunshine to admire the sprawling gardens. “My kids love flowers. I think I haven’t brought them before because they love picking them and you can’t touch them at the festival,” she said.
