Evacuation measures expand north, east due to raging Fiftynine Creek fire near Clinton

EARLIER: The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) has added another set of properties to those under evacuation notice north of Clinton due to the growing Fiftynine Creek fire .
As of Saturday afternoon (July 25), the evacuation order now applies to 299 properties in the TNRD’s Electoral Area ‘E’, up from 280 properties Friday evening.

Residents whose properties are now under evacuation order must leave immediately. Those wishing to receive emergency social services are asked to check in with reception centres set up in Williams Lake, Quesnel or 100 Mile House. Full details can be found here.
