Eufy's Latest Security System Is an All-Seeing, Local-First Camera Array

This week, Anker sub-brand Eufy released a full-blown hardwired local security camera system with built-in, on-device AI processing and a NAS-style storage device. It’s called the Eufy Security NVR System E50 , and it starts at $1,200.
In exchange for your hard-earned bucks, you get an NVR box with at least 2TB of expandable hard drive storage (up to 16TB) and four power-over-ethernet cameras, each equipped with both a 2K fixed lens and a 4K pan, tilt, and zoom (PTZ) camera. The upper camera of each device offers continuous monitoring with a 115-degree field of view, while the lower PTZ lens can swivel 360 degrees, zoom up to 5x, and “capture details up to 65 ft (20 m) away,” according to the E50’s product page. The cameras support corner, wall, and ceiling mounting.
