The European Union has summoned Russia's top diplomat in Brussels over an attempted "hybrid attack" involving an explosive-laden drone at a German airport last month.
"We are discussing the Leipzig attacks, and also it is clear that it has all the hallmarks of state-sponsored terrorism.
"The question is, what do we do about this? We have already summoned the Russian ambassador," EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said at the start of a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Co Wicklow this morning.
She described the incident as "a wake up call" and said "the question is what do we do about this", and that there is "definitely" a need to further discuss additional sanctions.
