Ethiopia’s Somali Region Targets $6.2 Million in Property Tax Revenue

MARMARSA, Ethiopia, September 26, 2026 Ethiopia’s Somali Region aims to collect 1 billion birr ($6.2 million) in property tax this year, Vice President Ibrahim Osman Farah said during a visit to Marmarsa in the Siti region. Farah spoke as the town began registering properties for taxation, regional broadcaster SRTV reported. He said the revenue target covered both newly established and existing municipal administrations.
