Around 1.2 lakh people who have enrolled with the Employees State Insurance Corporation would be able to access cashless treatment for major ailments at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research here.

For availing cashless treatment, the ESIC entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Jipmer on Friday. The MoU was signed by Saka Vinod Kumar, Medical Superintendent, Jipmer and Subramanian, State Medical Regional Officer, ESIC, Puducherry in the presence of Jipmer Director Vir Singh Negi, a release from the institute said.

The agreement would facilitate cashless healthcare services for ESIC beneficiaries and their dependents. The MoU aims to strengthen access to advanced and specialised healthcare for ESIC beneficiaries, particularly in areas where ESIC healthcare infrastructure or specialised services are limited.
