Ernakulam Boat Jetty Water Metro terminal to be completed in a year

The construction of the new Water Metro terminal near the Ernakulam Boat Jetty is expected to be completed in a year. The terminal, costing ₹32 crore, will be the second-largest in the Water Metro network after the High Court terminal, according to an official communication.

Once it becomes operational, direct services can be operated from the terminal to Mattancherry, Fort Kochi, Kumbalam, and Edakochi. The piling work commenced on September 8. The facility, which will be designed in the traditional Kerala architectural style, will have two floors and a total area of ​​18,000 square feet, according to the communication.
