Police are seeking a man who may have information useful to the search for a Brazilian woman missing near Queenstown.
Sergeant Terry Wood of Queenstown Police said the man was seen on the summit track in the Mt Dewar area about 12.30pm on Friday, September 18.
Police believe he may have information useful to the search effort for missing 47-year-old Erika Rodrigues Coelho.
The man is described as being of Asian complexion, in his 30s, of average to taller height, with a slim build, short dark hair and clean-shaven.
Wood urged him, or anyone who could help identify him, to contact police.
Queenstown Lakes search and rescue co-ordinator Senior Sergeant John Fookes said on Saturday there had been no significant developments in the search for Rodrigues Coelho.
Several dozen searchers were involved in Saturday’s operation, alongside drones, search dogs, a helicopter and ground teams.
