Eradication of 673.860 hectares of Prosopis Juliflora initiated in Dharmapuri
The district administration in Dharmapuri, India, has launched an initiative to eradicate 673.86 hectares of the invasive Prosopis Juliflora weed. According to the district administration, in compliance with the Madras High Court orders directing the eradication of Prosopis Juliflora, a total area of 673.860 ha has been identified in village panchayat tanks as invaded by the weed. Block level reports have identified the said area under the village panchayats.
