Enzo Fernandez scores first Man City goal with brilliantly disguised free kick

Enzo Fernández scored his first Manchester City goal in some style on Sunday, Sept. 20, catching Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs out with a disguised free kick.

In the ninth minute of the Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadum, Fernández stood over a free kick on the side of the 18-yard box.

Though he was in a position that would typically call for a cross, the Argentina international instead whipped a shot into the near post that Roefs couldn't keep out.

The goal was the start of a wild first half, which would see four more goals as City went into the break ahead 3-2. Enzo Maresca's side went on to win 5-3, making it five wins from five to start the season.

Fernández moved from Chelsea to Manchester City in a record deal on deadline day , joining for a reported fee of $168 million (€145 million).
