Ensure govt. schemes reach the public, Karti Chidambaram urges officials
MP Karti Chidambaram chaired a DISHA committee meeting in Pudukottai to review the progress of government schemes and ensure they effectively reach the public. The meeting also addressed local infrastructure needs, including drinking water projects and railway overbridge construction.

Sivaganga MP Karti Chidambaram on Friday advised the officials to ensure the schemes of the Centre and the State government reach the general public. The officials should work keeping in mind the welfare of the people, he said.
He was chairing the District Development, Coordination and Monitoring (DISHA) Committee meeting held in Pudukottai at the District Collectorate.
Along with Mr. Karti Chidambaram, Tiruchi MP Durai Vaiko and Ramanathapuram MP Navas Kani participated in the meeting, which was attended by Pudukottai Collector M. Aruna.
Mr. Karti Chidambaram reviewed in detail a host of schemes of the Union government being executed in coordination with the State government in Pudukottai district; the target set for each one of them, action taken and the progress made in the execution of the schemes.
