England team news: Rio Ngumoha not in squad to face Spain in Nations League opener

Senior football correspondent Published 26 September 2026, 11:27 BST Liverpool teenager Rio Ngumoha has not been named in England's matchday squad for Saturday's Nations League opener against Spain.

The forward, 18, was named in a full squad for the first time by boss Thomas Tuchel earlier this month but he will miss out on the party that will play against the reigning world and European champions at Wembley (19:45 BST).

Ngumoha was one of the five supplementary players that flew with the England senior squad for their pre-World Cup training camp in Florida in the summer.
