England international footballer Ivan Toney has been charged with assault at a Soho nightclub, Sky News reports.
The 30-year-old striker, who currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli, is accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in connection with an incident on 6 December 2025 at a nightclub on Wardour Street, central London.
A spokesperson for Toney said the footballer accepts the charge but, despite being taken aback by it, is keen for the chance to "clear his name in court."
