Emulate Indongo, Ngurare tells businesses... hands over tractor to Ukwangali TA

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare has called on Namibian businesses to emulate the Frans Indongo Group by directing their social investment towards initiatives that build community capacity and improve livelihoods, particularly in rural areas.

Ngurare made the call on Sunday during the official handover of a tractor donated by the Frans Indongo Group to the Ukwangali Traditional Authority at its headquarters in Kahenge, Kavango West.

The 98-horsepower tractor is intended to strengthen agricultural production and food security among communities under the traditional authority.

“I call on other Namibian businesses to emulate this example. Direct your social investment to where it can build capacity and improve livelihoods, especially in our rural regions,” Ngurare said.

He said social investment should result in lasting benefits for communities rather than being limited to once-off interventions.
