Embrace mentorship, grooming opportunities- Adolescents Urged
The Acting Volta Regional Director of Education, Mrs. Mariam Jemima Akua Adzroe, encouraged adolescent girls to pursue mentorship and skill-building opportunities at the 2026 Adolescent Mentorship and Empowerment Camp. The event aimed to foster self-discovery, entrepreneurship, and personal growth among 60 girls from across the Volta Region.

Ho, Sept. 13, GNA- Mrs Mariam Jemima Akua Adzroe, the Acting Volta Regional Director of Education, has urged adolescent girls to embrace mentorship and grooming opportunities to prepare themselves for the future.
She noted that proper mentorship equipped adolescents with the guidance needed to navigate life transition periods and make well-informed decisions.
Mrs Adzroe made these remarks at the 2026 Adolescent Mentorship and Empowerment Camp (AMEC), organised by the Volta Regional Directorate of the Department of Gender, with crucial funding and support from Global Affairs Canada.
She urged the young participants to pursue practical, hands-on training to acquire vital skills to enhance their personal value and remain highly competitive and relevant in an evolving world.
The Director also advised the adolescents to prioritise their well-being by practicing strict personal hygiene.
She cautioned them against engaging in risky behaviors that could permanently damage their health and future potential.
