Embrace commercial production, reject spectator role, Museveni tells Gen Z at 82nd birthday fete

Hundreds of Generation Z youth gathered at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds on Sunday to celebrate President Yoweri Museveni’s 82nd birthday, using the occasion to commit to national socio-economic transformation, patriotism, and wealth creation initiatives.

The event took place in a country where the median age ranges between 17 and 18 years—making Uganda one of the youngest populations globally—and where official labor reports estimate youth unemployment for ages 18 to 30 at 16.1 percent.
