Eluru police recover 200 mobile phones worth ₹50 lakh

The Cyber Cell police of Eluru district recovered 200 mobile phones valued at around ₹50 lakh in just 30 days (in September), said Superintendent of Police (SP) K. Pratap Shiva Kishore.
The SP on Tuesday said that the recovered phones were either lost or stolen at different locations, and police traced them using the latest technology. Mr. Pratap Shiva Kishore handed over the phones to the owners after thorough verification. He also urged the public to lodge a complaint on the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) or the nearest police when a phone was lost or stolen.
