Elton John's 13,000-sq-ft Atlanta condo made from 6 units sells for $7.2M
Sir Elton John’s long-time Atlanta home, created over more than 30 years by combining six separate apartments, has sold for $7.225 million (£5.9 million). The final price was more than $2.2 million above the original asking price, after a short bidding period for the high-rise property. Located on the 36th floor of the Park Place tower in Atlanta’s Buckhead district, the 13,332-square-foot residence was John’s main North American home during his touring years. The Wall Street Journal first reported the sale, saying the property was listed in September for $4.995 million and sold about six weeks later in an all-cash deal.Strategic listing creates competitionThe property went on the market after John finished his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
