Elliot admits some of the feelings voiced by supporters in Carlisle's early displays must be taken in the context of previous campaigns of frustration.
He said that is something his players must learn to cope with as they try to put points on the board this afternoon.
"If you look at the first 65 minutes or so at home against Worthing, it's fair to say there was no criticism," he said.
"But when they [Worthing] scored it almost unleashed some frustrations and worries within the club over the last however long.
