An Elizabeth Line railway worker died after being hit by a passenger in the face with a single punch, a court heard.

Transport for London (TfL) worker Jorge Ortega, 61, hit his head on the concrete platform at Ilford station, east London, and died of a severe traumatic brain injury two days later.

Ayodele Jamgbadi, has gone on trial at Inner London Crown Court accused of murder after the attack with “significant force” in December 2024.
