Eligible beneficiaries should not be deprived of guarantee schemes’ benefits, says implementation authority

Arun Kumar, Mysuru district president of the Guarantee Schemes Implementation Authority, said here on Tuesday (July 21) that eligible beneficiaries should not be deprived of the benefits of the State government’s guarantee schemes, and officials must ensure that those who qualify but remain excluded are enrolled without delay.
Presiding over a district-level review meeting on the implementation of the schemes at the Mysuru Zilla Panchayat, Mr. Kumar directed officials to identify and remove deceased beneficiaries from the schemes while ensuring that all eligible citizens continue to receive benefits.
Reviewing the Gruha Jyothi scheme, he said the ongoing beneficiary update exercise should be completed without excluding eligible consumers and instructed Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) officials to ensure meter readers conduct door-to-door visits to update beneficiary details and documentation.
