A 40-year-old male elephant was found dead near Parapalaru dam in Dindigul Forest division on Friday. According to information, when a forest staffer was on surveillance duty, he spotted a pachyderm dead at around 9 a.m. Immediately, he alerted superiors and a team comprising Dindigul District Forest Officer and team arrived.
