Officials of Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd. (TNPDCL) have begun the task of re-examining the domestic and commercial electricity services in Tiruchi, which complained of “exorbitant” electricity bills.
According to sources, the offices of TNPDCL continue to receive complaints of inflated electricity bills for June-July bi-monthly cycle. While a section of them preferred written complaints with the officials on exorbitant bills, many consumers reached out to the officials concerned over phone. Those who were apprehensive of service disconnection have reportedly paid the bills. A section of the consumers is waiting for the officials to recheck the functioning of the meters and other aspects of electricity consumption.
