A 75-year-old man was killed in a wild elephant attack in Coimbatore district while visiting a stream near his village. Forest Department officials are currently investigating the incident.

A 75-year-old man was killed in a wild elephant attack near K.G. Chavadi in Coimbatore district in the early hours on Tuesday (July 14, 2026).
The deceased was identified as Nataraj, a resident of Pudhupathi village. According to Forest Department officials, Nataraj had gone to a nearby stream to attend nature’s call when a lone wild elephant attacked him.
Forest personnel rescued the injured man and rushed him to hospital. However, he succumbed to injuries on the way.
