The Udupi police have made elaborate security arrangements for the Krishna Janmastami and ‘Vitla Pindi’ in Udupi city on Friday and Saturday.
Udupi Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar said apart from himself and Additional Superintendent of Police, two DySPs, six police inspectors, 25 police sub inspectors, 35 assistant sub inspectors, 186 police constables and 50 Home Guards will be on the ground on the two days. In addition, one unit of KSRP, nine units of District Armed Reserve, three units of firemen, two ambulances and three drones will be deployed.
