On Thursday, they spoke to Bheemunipatnam MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao, who enquired about their safety and well-being.
The group of tourists briefed the MLA on how they had a narrow escape from the floodwaters.
The group includes Bheemunipatnam ZPTC member G. Venkatappadu and others. They informed the MLA that they had left Visakhapatnam on August 21 and reached Kathmandu in Nepal on August 22. They were reportedly travelling as part of a pilgrimage and had planned to proceed towards Manasarovar.
