Eight new Arogya Kavach Ambulances flagged off in Mysuru
The Mysuru district government has commissioned eight new advanced ambulances to improve emergency medical response times. These vehicles are equipped with life-saving technology and will be integrated into a centralized command system.

Eight new state-of-the-art Arogya Kavach ambulances commissioned by the State government to strengthen emergency healthcare services in Mysuru were flagged off by Minister for Urban Development Yathindra Siddaramaiah on Friday.
The newly inducted fleet is aimed at providing timely emergency medical assistance to people in both urban and rural areas of the district, thereby enhancing the district’s healthcare infrastructure, said a statement here.
The ambulances are equipped with advanced life-saving equipment and are intended to ensure that patients, particularly victims of road accidents and other critical medical emergencies, are transported to hospitals within the Golden Hour, significantly improving their chances of survival. They will be strategically stationed across the district to provide rapid emergency response, especially in rural areas.
The commissioning of the new ambulances comes after several older ambulances were decommissioned due to engine failure and other mechanical issues, said officials.
