Eggs an affordable source of nutrition, says MP on World Egg Day

Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat on Friday urged people to include eggs in their daily diet, citing their nutritional value and health benefits.
Speaking at a World Egg Day programme organised by the Visakhapatnam Zone of the National Egg Co-ordination Committee (NECC) at R.K. Beach, he complimented the organisers for raising public awareness about egg consumption.
NECC Zonal Chairman T. Sreedhar said eggs could help prevent malnutrition among children. He described eggs as a low-cost, complete food that supported growth and immunity of people across all ages.
Visakhapatnam East MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu said that eggs were a nutritious food within reach of all sections of society.
Andhra Pradesh Poultry Federation (APPF) Vice-President T.U. Bhaskar said the programme aimed to create wide awareness about the benefits of including eggs in daily meals and could help build a healthier society amid changing lifestyles.
