Efftronics, JNTU-K launch industry-sponsored M.Tech in IoT

Efftronics Systems Private Limited and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada (JNTU-K) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a two-year industry-sponsored M.Tech programme in Internet of Things (IoT), aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry.
The MoU was signed by JNTU-K Registrar R. Srinivasa Rao and Efftronics Managing Director and CEO D. Rama Krishna in the presence of JNTU-K Vice-Chancellor C.S.R.K. Prasad in Vijayawada.
The programme will combine classroom teaching with practical training, internships, industry mentoring and thesis work at Efftronics. JNTU-K will admit an initial batch of 25 students, while Efftronics will set up dedicated IoT laboratories, support faculty training, sponsor research and collaborate with the university to establish a Centre of Excellence in IoT.
