Acting education minister Dr John Chrysostom Muyingo has applauded Ireland for continuing to support Uganda, especially in the education sector, a move that has significantly contributed to producing learners who have actively participated in nation-building.
The remarks were made during a flag-off ceremony for 15 learners on August 5, 2026, who are heading to Ireland to pursue master's studies in different fields under the Irish Fellowship Programme. The 15 students were selected following a rigorous exercise that attracted more than 520 applications.
