Education Minister lays foundation for KP School in Shivamogga, says 1,000 KPS will be built in Karnataka
Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa announced plans to build 1,000 Karnataka Public Schools to provide quality education from pre-primary to II PU. The project is supported by the Asian Development Bank and private CSR contributions, aiming to address teacher shortages and infrastructure needs.

Minister for School Education and Literacy Madhu Bangarappa has said that the State government will build 1,000 Karnataka Public Schools with all the necessary infrastructure to offer education from pre-primary to II PU, across the State, in a phased manner.
Mr. Bangarappa, who is also the Minister in-charge of Shivamogga district, was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the construction of a Karnataka Public School (KPS) at the Science Ground on B.H. Road in Shivamogga on Saturday.
The objective of the programme is to impart quality education to children in both Kannada and English medium. The Asian Development Bank has also offered a loan for the project and the government was utilising the CSR fund. A programme to inaugurate the scheme would be held in Shivamogga soon, he said.
