EC-SIR row: Jantar Mantar entrance barricaded ahead of protests - video

NEW DELHI: Jantar Mantar in Delhi was heavily barricaded on Friday following nationwide protests demanding the resignation of chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.Visuals from the protest site showed multiple layers of barricades, forming a clear cordon around Jantar Mantar. Buses have been used to block the entrances and there is heavy police deployment.The Indian Youth Congress was scheduled to march from Raisina Road to Jantar Mantar.CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said on Friday that his organisation would launch nationwide protests from October 2 if Kumar did not resign by Saturday.
