Eastern India lead in GI registrations, MP records highest registration in 2025-26

Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal led India in Geographical Indication (GI) registrations between April 2025 and March 2026. These registrations protect the intellectual property of traditional handicrafts and agricultural products, helping to preserve regional cultural heritage.
