East Queensland ahead of Ekka public holiday
South-east and central Queensland are bracing for windy conditions and short bursts of rain as a weather trough moves through the region. The Bureau of Meteorology has issued warnings for coastal areas, coinciding with the Royal Queensland Show public holiday.

South-east and central Queensland will see windy weather today, with possible short, sharp showers, before clearing on Tuesday.
It is expected to be mostly clear in northern and western parts of the state today, with slightly warmer temperatures.
More cloud and isolated showers could be in store on Wednesday west of the range, before clearing on Thursday.
