Early Data Suggests Unspectacular Start for Halo on PS5

Early data indicates that the launch of Halo: Campaign Evolved on the PlayStation 5 has been unspectacular compared to its performance on Xbox and Steam. While the game ranks high on the US PS Store, its daily active user numbers remain relatively low.

This data provides insight into the success of Microsoft's strategy to port exclusive titles to competing platforms like the PS5.
How is Halo: Campaign Evolved doing on its PS5 debut?
Fine – and we certainly need a lot more data to know for sure – but likely unspectacularly, all things considered.
While the game is currently second on the PS Store best-sellers list in the US, it’s a bit lower in European countries like the UK, where it currently sits in sixth.
This is consistent with Steam data , which shows almost 60% of the purchases thus far are from the US. It speaks to Xbox’s increasingly American-centric target market.
We don’t have specific sales numbers for the game just yet, but Circana’s Mat Piscatella has revealed that on launch day (28th July) it ranked 29th on the PS5 for daily active users in the US. Around 1% of all PS5 players that day loaded the game.
