Officials from the city police and EAGLE team conducted a special drive at a suspected ganja hotspot in Durganagar under the Kancharapalem police station limits, on Tuesday to identify and screen suspected drug users.
EAGLE Regional Officer and ASP Ch. Srinivasa Rao. EAGLE Inspector Dr T. Kalyani and other personnel participated in the drive.
During the drive, four suspected ganja consumers were identified and subjected to urine drug tests. One person tested positive, while the tests of the other three persons returned negative. The person who tested positive was handed over to the Kancharapalem police for further action, police said.
