Officials of the Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement (EAGLE), in association with the Government Railway Police (GRP), seized 31.5 kg of ganja from the Ratnachal Express and arrested three persons besides apprehending a juvenile for allegedly smuggling the contraband.

The arrested were identified as D. Raju of V. Sarabavaram village in Anakapalli district, Jokim Balasavari Dsouza of Suryanagar village in Maharashtra, and K. Dhanaraju of Joharapuram village in Kurnool district.

GRP Circle Inspector J. V. Ramana said the contraband, valued at about ₹65,000, was seized during a joint operation by the EAGLE and GRP teams.
