The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has recovered public land in Nyali, Mombasa, valued at Sh51 million. The land belongs to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA).
The 0.514-acre property, identified as MN/I/2411, was surrendered to the public following an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) settlement reached on September 21, 2026, between the Commission and the registered owner, Omar Tahir.
The recovery follows civil proceedings filed by the EACC in 2009 at the Mombasa Environment and Land Court in a case involving Zakayo Kipkemboi Cheruiyot, Tahir and Sammy Mwaita.
