e-KYC updation: Special camps to be held at all ration shops in Virudhunagar district

Virudhunagar district is organizing special camps at all ration shops on August 2 to facilitate e-KYC updates for family members. Residents are required to use biometric verification at these shops to ensure their records are current.
Why it matters
Ensuring accurate e-KYC data is essential for the continued delivery of government welfare and food security programs.
Updation of e-KYC for all the members of the family in the ration card can be done at the ration shops on August 2.
The updation can be done through the ‘point of sale’ machine by using finger prints or iris.
All ration shops in Virudhunagar would take up special camps, Virudhunagar Collector N.O. Sukhaputra said in a statement.
He said that all the members whose names were mentioned in the family cards should take up e-KYC updation.
