DVAC sleuths seize ₹1.86-lakh unaccounted cash at Sub-Registrar’s Office
The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) seized ₹1.86 lakh in unaccounted cash during a surprise inspection at a Sub-Registrar’s office in Madurai. Six individuals, including document writers and a camera operator, were found with the cash inside the official's chamber.

In a surprise check at the Sub-Registrar’s Office at Chettikulam in Madurai district, the sleuths of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption seized unaccounted cash of ₹1.86 lakh from a camera operator and five document writers on Thursday.
According to DVAC sources, all these six personnel were inside the chamber of Sub-Registrar Rajan with the unaccounted cash. Document writers were not permitted into the office of the Sub-Registrar, the source said. Further investigation is under way.
