DVAC searches construction firm premises in Erode

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) conducted searches at the office and residence of a private construction firm owner in Erode. The investigation follows allegations of irregularities regarding the awarding of government tenders.

Sleuths from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) on Saturday (September 5) searched the office of a private construction company on Perundurai Road and the residence of its owner at Palayapalayam, following a complaint of alleged irregularities in the award of tenders.
The construction company, P and C Projects, headquartered in Erode, has undertaken various building works for the Public Works Department, the Erode Corporation and other government agencies. It had also executed the construction work of the Kilambakkam bus terminus during the previous regime and undertaken more than five Corporation projects.
