Durai Vaiko urges Southern Railway to complete road overbridge works early

Tiruchi MP Durai Vaiko on Tuesday urged Southern Railway to complete the construction of the road over bridge (RoB) on Fort Station Road here by the end of July.
Chairing a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee here, he said that Southern Railway authorities had committed to completing its portion of the work on Fort Station Road. However, it was going on for a long period and commuters had to suffer due to closure of the important road for more than two years. The RoB work could no longer be dragged on any further. It should be completed by this month, and Tiruchi Corporation should take up its work immediately so as to bring back the road for public use by September.
