An aspiring seven-year-old footballer from Dunedin has been handpicked to take part in a trial in the UK.
Nese Su'a will get the chance to train against Manchester City and Manchester United youth academies next month.
He was scouted at a showcase event in Brisbane after playing football for just two seasons.
Nese's mother, Kelly Dickson, told Morning Report her son's love of football came as somewhat of a surprise, given they're traditionally more of a rugby household.
"Nese was one day watching some football clips on YouTube and an advertisement came on for a showcase in Brisbane.
"So I looked into it and researched it, and the universe aligned. It was in Brisbane where we were going and it was on the dates when we were going and it didn't interfere with the wedding we were going to," Dickson said.
