DUK partners with HEX20 to launch hands-on educational programme in satellite technology

Digital University Kerala (DUK) has partnered with the spacetech startup HEX20 to launch a specialized training program in satellite technology. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice for students.
Why it matters
This partnership reflects the increasing integration of industry expertise into higher education to prepare students for the expanding space technology sector.
The Digital University Kerala (DUK) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Technopark-based spacetech startup HEX20 to jointly design and deliver a specialised hands-on education programme in satellite technology.
The initiative aims at providing selected students from India and abroad with immersive training in the design, assembly, integration and testing of satellite subsystems.
According to an official release, the programme is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry practice by offering participants the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on real satellite systems. Through this practical learning experience, students will gain valuable exposure to satellite engineering workflows and develop the skills required for careers in the rapidly expanding global space technology sector.
