Duck boat overturns at Boston tourist attraction injuring at least 6 people

A duck boat overturned Saturday at a popular tourist attraction in Boston, Massachusetts, injuring at least six people and prompting a major emergency rescue response. The boat tipped on its side at a Cambridge boat ramp near the entrance to the Charles River, state police told Fox News Digital. None of the passengers wound up in the water, police said. The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) said some of the injuries were classified as minor, with two considered "more serious." State police confirmed its troopers and the Marine Unit responded to the scene, alongside the Cambridge police and fire departments. Boston Duck Tours told Fox News Digital that while being towed on its boat ramp, the vehicle rolled onto its side when the tow-rope broke. "As a precaution, we have suspended operations for the remainder of the day," the company wrote in a statement. "We are working with Massachusetts State Police and the U.S. Coast Guard to review the incident." Since the incident happened directly at the entrance to the Charles River, Massachusetts State Police will lead the investigation.
