Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter days after he was found guilty of first-degree murder in the 1996 killing of the rapper, Davis accused witnesses of lying on the stand and that an autobiography he claimed he didn't write was used against him in court.
“I never wrote that book. The author told me to tell them 10 stories about what happened in your life and get them some pictures,” Davis said of his memoir Compton Street Legend , a key piece of evidence during the trial. “I never read that book or went over that book or nothing. They didn't even spell my name right on the cover.”
