Drugs worth over ₹1 crore seized, peddler held

The Bantwal Rural police have arrested an alleged drug peddler, Mohammed Amir Jartab, a resident of Kengeri in Bengaluru, and have seized narcotic drugs worth over ₹1 crore from him.
In a press note, the police said that, on a tip-off, a car heading towards Mangaluru from Hassan was stopped by a team of police personnel from the Bantwal Rural police Station in the early hours of Sunday. The police found 538.63 grams of MDMA worth ₹53.86 lakh and 99.12 grams of cocaine worth ₹49.56 lakh in the car.
