The Feroke Police in Kozhikode, Kerala, on Friday arrested a man who allegedly impersonated a Sub-Inspector and carried out fake anti-drug enforcement operations.

The accused, identified as Rojith, a native of Chungam, was found in possession of an air pistol, handcuffs, a fake police identity card, and a photograph of himself dressed in a police uniform.

According to the police, Rojith posed as a Sub-Inspector attached to the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force. Using the fake identity, he allegedly seized narcotic substances from drug traffickers and later sold them for profit. Investigators also found that he had been making phone calls while falsely claiming to be a police officer.
