Drug addiction is anti-social, says DCP
Mysuru city police and local health advocates organized a walkathon to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse among students. Officials emphasized that drug addiction is a social issue that requires collective community action to combat.

Students have a crucial role to play in the fight against drug abuse, and staying away from drugs should be everyone’s goal, said DCP (Law and Order) Dr. Harsha Priyamvada.
“Drug addiction is anti-social. ‘BEDA BRO’ (a campaign launched by the Mysuru city police in its fight against drugs) should be the goal of everyone,” she said.
She was speaking after inaugurating a walkathon organised here on Saturday with the message ‘Say no to drugs’ to create awareness among youngsters about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free society.
The walkathon, which was flagged off near SDM College on JLB Road, culminated at Maharaja Junior College. Students carrying placards with anti-drug messages and raising slogans participated in the walkathon to spread awareness among the public about the dangers of drug abuse.
