A car has driven into a sinkhole that has opened up on a road south of Perth. The Toyota Corolla appeared to have “sunk” at the corner of Gateway Boulevard and The Bridgeway in Canning Vale Tuesday just before 4am. The driver was fortunately not injured in the dramatic ordeal, and police were not required. Water Corporation said the sinkhole was caused by a burst water main. “Crews were onsite within 30 minutes and promptly isolated the main, with work now underway to remove the vehicle and make repairs,” a spokesperson said.
